THE HUNGER & THIRST

12-Week Mentorship Programme

A VAK-Based Journey from Knowing to Doing

Visual • Auditory • Kinesthetic

PROGRAMME PURPOSE

The Hunger & Thirst Mentorship Programme is a 12-week personal transformation journey designed to help participants discover what they truly want, identify what is holding them back, make intentional choices and translate those choices into meaningful action.

The programme uses the VAK framework:

V — Visual: What can I see, imagine and envision?

A — Auditory: What am I saying, hearing and believing?

K — Kinesthetic: What am I feeling, experiencing and doing?

The central principle of the programme is:

What you can see, what you say and what you do must eventually become aligned.

Many people know what they should do but never do it.

They have dreams but no direction.

They have choices but cannot choose.

They have information but lack implementation.

They wait for the perfect moment, the perfect plan or certainty that may never come.

This programme moves participants through three stages:

MONTH 1 — SEE IT

Awareness • Vision • Clarity

MONTH 2 — SAY IT

Belief • Language • Decision

MONTH 3 — DO IT

Action • Experience • Transformation

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

Duration: 3 months / 12 weeks

Format: Weekly mentorship session

Recommended session length: 90 minutes

Group size: 6–15 participants

Methodology: Teaching + Mentoring + Reflection + Exercises + Accountability

Each week contains:

  1. Teaching
  2. VAK experience
  3. Self-reflection
  4. Practical exercise
  5. Personal commitment
  6. Accountability

MONTH ONE

SEE IT

THEME: VISION, AWARENESS & CLARITY

The first month is about helping participants see their lives differently.

Before we can change our lives, we must become aware of the life we are currently living.

The objective is to move from:

Confusion → Awareness → Clarity → Vision

WEEK 1 — WHERE AM I?

Theme:

Awareness Before Change

Objective:

Help participants honestly examine their current lives.

Visual

Participants create a visual snapshot of their current life.

Areas include:

  • Career
  • Relationships
  • Finances
  • Health
  • Spirituality
  • Personal growth
  • Family
  • Lifestyle
  • Emotional wellbeing
  • Contribution

Auditory

Participants identify the conversations they have with themselves.

Questions:

  • What do I say to myself?
  • What excuses do I repeatedly use?
  • What negative messages have I accepted?
  • Whose voice do I hear when I doubt myself?

Kinesthetic

Participants identify how their current life feels.

Questions:

  • Where do I feel stuck?
  • What creates energy?
  • What drains me?
  • What am I tolerating?

Exercise:

The Life Assessment Wheel

Participants score each area of their life from 1–10.

Weekly commitment:

“I will stop avoiding what I need to see.”

WEEK 2 — WHAT DO I WANT?

Theme:

Finding Your Hunger

Many people are not lacking opportunity.

They are lacking clarity.

Visual

Create a Vision Board for the Life You Want.

Participants visualise:

  • Who they want to become
  • Where they want to live
  • What they want to experience
  • What they want to achieve
  • Who they want around them
  • What contribution they want to make

Auditory

Complete the statement:

“If I knew I could not fail, I would…”

Participants then read their answer aloud.

Kinesthetic

Participants identify what their desired future feels like.

They describe:

  • Freedom
  • Peace
  • Excitement
  • Purpose
  • Connection
  • Confidence
  • Fulfilment

Exercise:

The Hunger Statement

“I am hungry for __________ because __________.”

Weekly commitment:

Identify the five things you genuinely want, rather than what you think you should want.

WEEK 3 — THE COST OF NOT CHOOSING

Theme:

Indecision Is a Decision

Participants examine how procrastination and indecision have affected their lives.

Visual

Create two timelines:

Life if I continue exactly as I am.

Life if I make the decision I know I need to make.

Auditory

Identify internal statements such as:

  • “Maybe later.”
  • “I’m not ready.”
  • “What if it doesn’t work?”
  • “I need more information.”
  • “I’ll start tomorrow.”

Participants replace these with intentional statements.

Kinesthetic

Participants physically experience the difference between:

holding back and moving forward.

A simple exercise:

Stand still for 60 seconds while thinking about something you have been avoiding.

Then take one deliberate step forward.

Reflect on the difference.

Exercise:

The Cost of Inaction

Complete:

“If I don’t make this decision, in one year…”

Weekly commitment:

Make one decision you have been postponing.

WEEK 4 — CREATE THE VISION

Theme:

See the Person You Are Becoming

Participants create a compelling personal vision.

Visual

Create a Three-Year Vision.

Ask:

“What would my life look like if I lived intentionally for the next three years?”

Auditory

Participants create their Personal Declaration.

Example:

“I am becoming a person who chooses courage over comfort, action over procrastination and purpose over distraction.”

Kinesthetic

Participants identify three behaviours that the future version of themselves would demonstrate.

Exercise:

Future Self Letter

Write a letter from your future self to your present self.

Month One Outcome

By the end of Month One, participants should have:

  • Greater self-awareness
  • A clear personal vision
  • Identified their major areas of dissatisfaction
  • Identified what they genuinely want
  • Identified the cost of inaction
  • Made at least one postponed decision

MONTH TWO

SAY IT

THEME: BELIEF, LANGUAGE & DECISION

What we repeatedly say becomes part of what we believe.

The second month focuses on the internal dialogue that determines whether a person acts on their vision.

The journey becomes:

Awareness → Belief → Decision → Commitment

WEEK 5 — THE POWER OF YOUR WORDS

Theme:

Your Internal Conversation

Participants examine the language they use about themselves.

Visual

Identify limiting labels:

  • “I’m not good enough.”
  • “I’m too old.”
  • “I can’t.”
  • “I’m not confident.”
  • “That’s just who I am.”

Write them down.

Then challenge each one.

Auditory

Participants hear their own limiting beliefs by speaking them aloud.

Then they create empowering alternatives.

Example:

“I can’t do this.”

becomes

“I can learn how to do this.”

Kinesthetic

Participants notice how different statements affect their physical state.

Exercise:

Language Transformation

Identify ten limiting statements and rewrite them.

WEEK 6 — BELIEFS THAT BUILD OR BREAK YOU

Theme:

What Do You Believe?

Participants explore the beliefs behind their behaviour.

Visual

Create two columns:

Beliefs That Limit Me

Beliefs That Empower Me

Auditory

Participants identify where their beliefs came from.

Ask:

  • Who taught me this?
  • Is it actually true?
  • Is it still useful?
  • What would I believe if I chose differently?

Kinesthetic

Participants identify the emotional and physical response associated with each belief.

Exercise:

Belief Challenge

Choose one limiting belief and develop evidence against it.

Weekly commitment:

Practice one empowering belief every day.

WEEK 7 — MAKE THE DECISION

Theme:

Choose

This is the turning point of the programme.

Participants learn that clarity often comes after commitment, not before it.

Visual

Create a decision matrix:

Choice Opportunity Risk Cost Reward Alignment

Auditory

Ask:

“What is my heart telling me?”

“What would I advise someone I love?”

“What excuse am I using?”

Kinesthetic

Notice the body’s response to each option.

This is not about treating physical sensations as infallible evidence, but about becoming aware of emotional responses and internal resistance.

Exercise:

The 24-Hour Decision

Choose one meaningful decision and commit to a decision deadline.

Weekly commitment:

Stop saying:

“I don’t know.”

Replace it with:

“I am willing to decide.”

WEEK 8 — COMMITMENT

Theme:

Burn the Escape Route

A decision without commitment remains an intention.

Visual

Create a Commitment Contract.

Auditory

Participants speak their commitment publicly to the group.

Kinesthetic

Participants take a physical action immediately after making the commitment.

For example:

  • Make the phone call
  • Send the email
  • Book the appointment
  • Register
  • Start the project
  • Have the conversation

Exercise:

The First Move

Identify the smallest action that proves your commitment.

Month Two Outcome

Participants should now have:

  • Greater awareness of their internal dialogue
  • Identified limiting beliefs
  • Developed empowering language
  • Practised intentional decision-making
  • Made meaningful decisions
  • Created personal commitments
  • Taken their first concrete steps

MONTH THREE

DO IT

THEME: ACTION, EXPERIENCE & TRANSFORMATION

Knowing is not enough.

Seeing is not enough.

Talking is not enough.

Transformation happens when awareness becomes action.

The final month moves participants through:

Decision → Action → Consistency → Transformation

WEEK 9 — TAKE ACTION

Theme:

Movement Creates Momentum

Participants identify the gap between what they say they want and what they actually do.

Visual

Create a 90-Day Action Map.

Identify:

  • One major goal
  • Three supporting goals
  • Weekly actions
  • Daily behaviours

Auditory

Create an Action Declaration:

“I don’t need to feel ready. I need to begin.”

Kinesthetic

Complete the first action during the session.

Exercise:

The 15-Minute Start

Take 15 minutes and begin the thing you have been postponing.

WEEK 10 — BUILD THE HABIT

Theme:

Consistency Beats Intensity

Participants learn to build systems rather than relying on motivation.

Visual

Create a habit tracker.

Auditory

Create personal daily affirmations.

Kinesthetic

Attach new behaviours to existing routines.

Example:

After brushing my teeth → I meditate for five minutes.

After breakfast → I review my priorities.

Before bed → I write three things I am grateful for.

Exercise:

The One Non-Negotiable

Choose one daily behaviour that will continue for the next 30 days.

WEEK 11 — DEAL WITH RESISTANCE

Theme:

When the Fire Fades

Motivation will fluctuate.

Resistance will appear.

Old habits will return.

Participants learn how to respond rather than retreat.

Visual

Identify personal triggers.

Auditory

Create a Resistance Response Script.

Example:

“I recognise that I am avoiding this. I don’t need to solve everything today. I only need to take the next step.”

Kinesthetic

Participants develop a physical reset routine:

STOP → BREATHE → REFOCUS → MOVE

Exercise:

My Resistance Plan

Identify:

  • My common excuses
  • My triggers
  • My avoidance behaviours
  • My response
  • My next action

WEEK 12 — LIVE THE CHOICE

Theme:

From Programme to Lifestyle

The final week is not about completing a course.

It is about beginning a different way of living.

Visual

Participants revisit their Week One Life Assessment.

They compare:

Where I was

with

Where I am now

Auditory

Participants deliver their personal Hunger & Thirst Declaration.

Kinesthetic

Participants physically step into their future by identifying the first action they will take after the programme.

Final Exercise:

THE HUNGER & THIRST DECLARATION

Participants complete:

I am hungry for __________.

I am thirsty for __________.

I am no longer willing to __________.

I choose to __________.

I commit to __________.

The person I am becoming is __________.

My next step is __________.

And I will begin now.

THE VAK DAILY PRACTICE

Participants use the VAK model every day.

MORNING — VISUAL

Ask:

What do I want to see happen today?

Visualise the desired outcome.

DURING THE DAY — AUDITORY

Ask:

What am I saying to myself?

Replace limiting language with intentional language.

EVENING — KINESTHETIC

Ask:

What did I actually do today?

Reflect on:

  • What did I experience?
  • What did I feel?
  • What did I accomplish?
  • What did I avoid?
  • What will I do differently tomorrow?

THE VAK TRANSFORMATION MODEL

SEE

Vision creates direction.

↓

SAY

Language creates belief.

↓

FEEL

Emotion creates connection.

↓

CHOOSE

Decision creates commitment.

↓

DO

Action creates momentum.

↓

REPEAT

Consistency creates transformation.

↓

BECOME

Transformation creates a new way of living.

WEEKLY ACCOUNTABILITY SCORECARD

Participants score themselves from 1–10 each week.

Area Score
Clarity /10
Vision /10
Self-awareness /10
Positive self-talk /10
Decision-making /10
Commitment /10
Action /10
Consistency /10
Courage /10
Personal responsibility /10

Weekly question:

“Did I live according to what I said mattered to me?”

THE MENTOR’S ROLE

The mentor is not there to tell participants how to live.

The mentor’s role is to:

  • Ask powerful questions
  • Challenge limiting beliefs
  • Encourage responsibility
  • Provide perspective
  • Create accountability
  • Identify patterns
  • Celebrate progress
  • Challenge excuses
  • Help participants turn insight into action

The mentor should continually bring participants back to three questions:

1. What do you SEE?

What is your vision?

2. What do you SAY?

What are you telling yourself?

3. What do you DO?

What action are you taking?

FINAL PROGRAMME OUTCOME

At the end of 12 weeks, participants should leave with:

A CLEAR VISION

They know what they want.

A STRONGER VOICE

They have changed the conversation they have with themselves.

A CONSCIOUS DECISION

They have stopped allowing endless choices to paralyse them.

A PRACTICAL PLAN

They know what they need to do next.

A SYSTEM OF ACTION

They have created behaviours that support their goals.

PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

They understand that nobody else can live their life for them.

A NEW IDENTITY

They begin to see themselves not as someone waiting for life to happen, but as someone who intentionally participates in creating it.

THE CENTRAL MESSAGE

SEE IT.

SAY IT.

FEEL IT.

CHOOSE IT.

DO IT.

BECOME IT.

Because your life does not change simply because you know something.

It changes when what you see, what you say, what you feel and what you do begin moving in the same direction.

THE HUNGER & THIRST MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

Don’t wait for life to choose for you.

Choose.

Act.

Live.
