Nights sky and stars (9)
Consciousness

You are an infinite piece of consciousness.

You are not this body.

You are not the résumé that you have accumulated. You are not your achievements, your failures, your possessions, your title, your position, your relationships, or the things that surround you.

These are all parts of your human experience. They are expressions of the life you are living, but they are not the entirety of who you are.

You are an infinite piece of consciousness.

You are an infinite piece of consciousness that has no beginning and no end.

You are part of God.

You are not separate from the greater source of life from which you came. You are an expression of that infinite consciousness experiencing itself through a human body, through a human mind, through emotions, relationships, memories and experiences.

Your body has a beginning.
Your body changes.
Your body ages.

Your résumé has a beginning.
Your accomplishments accumulate.
Your circumstances change.

Your possessions come and go.
Your identity evolves.
Your thoughts change.
Your emotions change.
Your experiences change.

But beneath all of these changing expressions is something deeper.

Consciousness.

You are an infinite piece of consciousness, connected to God, with no beginning and no end.

You simply are.

You are experiencing this temporary human existence, but you are more than the temporary form through which you experience it.

You are not your name and surname.

You are not where you live.

You are not what you own.

You are not what you have achieved.

You are not the story you have accumulated.

You are not even the thoughts that move through your mind or the emotions that move through your heart.

These are experiences.

You are the consciousness experiencing them.

And when you begin to recognise this, something profound can happen.

You no longer have to build your entire identity around things that are temporary.

You can let go.

You can become still.

You can step beyond the limitations of the identity you have constructed and reconnect with something infinitely deeper.

You are an infinite piece of consciousness.

You have no beginning.

You have no end.

You are part of God.

And perhaps the greatest spiritual awakening is not discovering something new about yourself.

It is remembering what you have always been.
