"Studying body language"

Greed – Never being satisfied and always wanting more.

Representing greed, body language can communicate possessiveness, obsession with possessions, or an unwillingness to share. It’s important to remember that body language cannot establish that a real person is greedy.

For a symbolic portrayal, you could depict:

  • Leaning protectively over valuables or possessions.
  • Arms wrapped around objects as if guarding them.
  • Hands tightly gripping money, jewelry, or other symbols of wealth.
  • Eyes fixed intently on something desirable rather than on people.
  • A tense, possessive expression when others approach.
  • Chin slightly tucked while looking upward, suggesting suspicion.
  • Shoulders hunched protectively around prized possessions.
  • A subtle smirk of satisfaction while accumulating more.
  • Little interest in the needs or feelings of others nearby.
  • A posture that occupies and claims space, as though everything belongs to the character.

To reinforce the cinematic mood, you could use:

  • Rich, dark lighting with gold accents.
  • A luxurious setting filled with expensive objects.
  • Strong shadows emphasizing hands gripping treasured items.
  • A composition where the character is isolated with their possessions rather than connecting with people.

A fictional visual description might read:

She sits surrounded by symbols of wealth, leaning protectively over them as if afraid someone might take even the smallest possession. Her fingers remain tightly wrapped around a jeweled box, her eyes constantly drawn toward the next object of value instead of the people around her. Her posture is closed and possessive, her shoulders curved inward to shield what she already owns, while her expression suggests that nothing is ever enough. The atmosphere is dark, luxurious, and tense, creating the impression of a character consumed by the endless desire for more.

Symbolize greed. They should not be interpreted as evidence that a real person is greedy.
