Love of Fear

Am I building something up, or am I breaking something down?

Every thought, every word, every attitude, and every action moves something in one of two directions. We are either building trust or destroying it. Building hope or feeding fear. Building relationships or weakening them. Building our character or compromising it. Building our future or repeating the mistakes of our past.

This question requires honest self-examination. It asks us to pause before we react and to consider the impact of our choices. It challenges us to identify where we truly stand—not where we wish we stood, but where our daily actions reveal we are.

Ask yourself:

  • Are my words bringing healing or causing harm?
  • Are my habits strengthening my life or slowly destroying it?
  • Are my decisions creating peace or creating chaos?
  • Am I building faith, love, honesty, integrity, and wisdom?
  • Or am I allowing fear, resentment, pride, and selfishness to tear them down?

The quality of our lives is determined not by what we intend, but by what we consistently build.

Today, choose to become a builder—of people, of character, of hope, of truth, and of love. Every small act of kindness, every honest conversation, every disciplined decision, and every moment of forgiveness lays another brick in a life of purpose.

At the end of each day, ask yourself one final question:

“What did I build today?”
