Professional Hypnotherapy Script for Smoking Cessation

Comprehensive Clinical Script (Approximately 60–90 Minutes)

Purpose: Smoking cessation through subconscious reconditioning, reducing cravings, strengthening self-control, changing identity, and reinforcing long-term health.

This script is intended for use by trained hypnotherapists as part of a broader smoking cessation program. It is not a substitute for medical advice or treatment for nicotine dependence.

Pre-Talk (10–15 Minutes)

Today you are making one of the most important decisions of your life.

You are not giving something up.

You are gaining freedom.

Every cigarette has never actually given you relaxation.

It has simply relieved the discomfort created by nicotine itself.

Your body never needed cigarettes.

It only adapted to nicotine.

Your body already knows how to live without smoking.

Millions of people have become permanent non-smokers.

Your subconscious mind is capable of making this change easily.

Today we are not fighting cigarettes.

We are simply returning your mind and body to their natural healthy state.

After today you become someone who simply does not smoke.

Induction

Sit comfortably.

Allow your hands to rest naturally.

Take a slow deep breath in…

Hold…

And gently exhale.

Again…

Breathing in calmness…

Exhaling tension…

With every breath…

Your body becomes heavier…

Calmer…

More peaceful.

Now allow your eyes to focus on one point.

As you continue breathing…

Your eyelids become heavier…

More relaxed…

As though they simply want to close.

Not because you are trying…

Simply because relaxation naturally closes the eyes.

When they are ready…

Allow them to close.

Good.

Now imagine a warm wave beginning at the top of your head.

Flowing slowly down through your forehead.

Relaxing every tiny muscle.

Your eyes soften.

Your cheeks relax.

Your jaw loosens completely.

Your tongue rests comfortably.

The wave continues into your neck…

Shoulders…

Arms…

Hands…

Chest…

Back…

Stomach…

Hips…

Legs…

Feet…

Every muscle becoming loose…

Soft…

Comfortable.

Deepener

Imagine standing at the top of ten beautiful stone steps leading into a peaceful garden.

With every step down…

Your subconscious opens more fully.

10…

Beginning your journey inward…

9…

Twice as relaxed…

8…

Every breath taking you deeper…

7…

Calm…

6…

Comfortable…

5…

Halfway down…

4…

Your conscious mind becoming quiet…

3…

Safe…

2…

Peaceful…

1…

Stepping into complete inner calm.

Safe Place

Before you is your own peaceful sanctuary.

Perhaps a beach.

Perhaps a forest.

Perhaps a mountain meadow.

Somewhere your subconscious has created especially for you.

Notice the colours.

The sounds.

The fresh clean air.

The feeling of complete safety.

Every breath fills your lungs with pure healthy oxygen.

Your body remembers…

This is how breathing is meant to feel.

Therapeutic Phase One

Breaking the Old Smoking Program

Somewhere inside your subconscious is an old habit.

Not who you are.

Just an old program.

Programs can be changed.

Just like updating software.

Imagine seeing that smoking habit as an old dusty book.

Take the book into your hands.

Notice its weight.

Its age.

Now open it.

Every page contains old beliefs.

“I need cigarettes.”

“They help me relax.”

“I enjoy smoking.”

“I can’t stop.”

These beliefs were never true.

They were simply repeated often enough.

Now gently remove every page.

One by one.

As each page disappears…

Every old belief dissolves.

Until the book becomes completely empty.

Now close it.

It fades away forever.

Releasing Nicotine Dependence

Imagine nicotine as dark smoke inside your body.

Every breath out releases it.

Your lungs becoming cleaner.

Your blood becoming purer.

Your heart becoming stronger.

Your breathing becoming easier.

Every cell knows exactly how to heal.

Every hour your body repairs itself.

Every day your circulation improves.

Every week your lungs become healthier.

Your body thanks you.

Identity Transformation

This is perhaps the most important part.

You are not trying to quit smoking.

You ARE a non-smoker.

There is a profound difference.

A smoker who quits still believes they are a smoker.

A non-smoker simply does not smoke.

From today…

You identify as someone who values health.

Someone who breathes freely.

Someone who protects their body.

Someone who enjoys fresh clean air.

Someone who naturally refuses cigarettes.

Smoking no longer belongs to you.

It belongs to your past.

Removing Triggers

Imagine every situation that once triggered smoking.

Morning coffee.

Driving.

Stress.

After meals.

Social situations.

Work breaks.

Now imagine each trigger surrounded by brilliant white light.

The connection between those situations and cigarettes dissolves.

Coffee now means freshness.

Driving means calm.

Stress means deep breathing.

Meals mean satisfaction.

Conversation means confidence.

Every former trigger becomes a reminder that you are free.

Craving Elimination

From this moment…

If a craving ever appears…

It feels like a small passing cloud.

You simply notice it.

Smile.

Take one deep breath.

Drink some water.

Within moments…

It disappears.

Each craving you ignore becomes weaker.

Soon…

They disappear completely.

Future Pacing

Imagine tomorrow morning.

You wake refreshed.

You breathe deeply.

You smile.

You no longer think about cigarettes.

See yourself at work.

Someone offers you one.

You naturally reply,

“No thank you, I don’t smoke.”

It feels completely normal.

See yourself one week from now.

Your breathing is easier.

Food tastes better.

Energy increases.

One month.

Your skin improves.

Your lungs feel lighter.

Three months.

You feel proud.

Six months.

You hardly remember smoking.

One year.

You look back amazed that you ever smoked.

Freedom feels completely natural.

Health Installation

Every breath nourishes your lungs.

Every heartbeat strengthens your body.

Every healthy choice reinforces your freedom.

Your immune system becomes stronger.

Your circulation improves.

Your brain receives more oxygen.

Your confidence grows daily.

You enjoy exercise.

Fresh air.

Clean smells.

Healthy food.

Healthy relationships.

A healthy future.

Self-Worth Installation

You deserve health.

You deserve freedom.

You deserve long life.

You deserve peace.

You deserve confidence.

You deserve happiness without cigarettes.

You are stronger than any habit.

Your subconscious now protects you automatically.

Ego Strengthening

Every day…

Your confidence doubles.

Every day…

Your self-control grows stronger.

Every day…

Your mind supports healthy choices.

Every day…

You become happier as a non-smoker.

Every success builds more success.

Every healthy breath reminds you of your freedom.

Positive Suggestions (Repeat Slowly)

I am completely free.

I breathe easily.

I enjoy being healthy.

My lungs heal every day.

I love fresh air.

My body rejects cigarettes.

Smoking is part of my past.

I protect my health.

I enjoy my freedom.

I am proud of myself.

I choose life.

I choose health.

I choose happiness.

I am permanently free.

Future Identity Integration

Imagine yourself five years from today.

Healthy.

Energetic.

Confident.

Strong.

Notice your breathing.

Notice your smile.

Notice how proud you feel.

This future version of yourself thanks you.

For making today’s decision.

Feel that gratitude flowing back into today.

Becoming part of you now.

Post-Hypnotic Anchor

Whenever you place your thumb and first finger gently together…

And take one slow deep breath…

Your subconscious immediately activates calmness…

Confidence…

Self-control…

Freedom.

The desire to smoke disappears.

Instead…

You feel grateful.

Healthy.

Relaxed.

Free.

This anchor becomes stronger every day.

Reorientation

In a few moments I shall count from one to five.

At five you will awaken feeling refreshed…

Positive…

Motivated…

Healthy…

And completely committed to your new identity as a non-smoker.

1…

Energy returning.

2…

Breathing deeply.

3…

Feeling lighter.

4…

Stretching comfortably.

5…

Eyes open.

Wide awake.

Feeling wonderful.

Feeling healthy.

Feeling free.

And from this moment forward…

You simply do not smoke.

Because you are now…

A healthy…

Confident…

Permanent non-smoker.
