Shift to is powerful prayer.
“God, use me” comes from a place of service.
“God, know me” comes from a place of relationship, honesty, and surrender.
It moves from performance → presence
From doing → being
From proving → opening
Here’s a prayer built around that deeper posture:
God,
No longer do I come asking to be used, as if I am a tool trying to prove my worth.
Today, I come to be known.
Know my thoughts – even the ones I hide.
Know my fears – the ones I don’t speak.
Know my desires – the pure and the conflicted.
Know the parts of me that are strong, and the parts that are still breaking.
Strip away the masks I’ve learned to wear.
The roles I play to feel enough.
The effort to be seen as good.
Instead, meet me here – as I am.
Not polished.
Not perfect.
Just present.
If there is work for me to do, let it come from being known by You – not from striving to be used by You.
Let my life flow from connection, not from performance.
Teach me that I don’t need to earn Your presence.
Only to allow it.
God, know me – and in being known, let me finally become whole.
Amen.
